Summer is just a flyin' by.
The 4th of July holiday has come and gone and based on past experience, time will be speeding up as our summer plans heat up.
We have a California trip and a South Carolina trip on the horizon.
My baby left for five days of summer camp today and when she returns, she has a couple of day camps to attend.
And then, after all of that is over and the vacation and camp memories are tucked away, it will be time for school to start.
My college kiddos will return home for a brief visit to sleep and stock up on good food and supplies and then, they will return to their campuses and my youngest will start her first year of junior high.
Where does that leave me?
I have a dream of writing a book. It's a deep down dream, one that doesn't surface often. I have made attempts, I have content saved on my computer. I (sort of) have a direction and a vision. What I don't have is discipline.
I have never been able to commit myself to writing. I haven't been able to pick a time and a place and "just do it".
I hope to change all of that this week. My goal for the week is to do some real writing. I won't have any distractions, my time will be all mine. It's the perfect week to find a writing rhythm.
If not now? When?
